Move In - Move Out
Residents serviced
by the Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation who recently moved
in to their new home or moving out of their old residence,
the Bureau of Sanitation recognizes their special needs with
the extra refuse they generate. Move In/Move Out is mainly
for boxes or bags filled with rubbish as well as flattened
cardboards. Bags and/or boxes should weigh no more than 30
lbs. Boxes should be kept away from water. Full boxes should
be tied and have the dimensions of 2'x3'. Flattened boxes
should be tied in bundles with the dimensions of 2'x3' and
weigh no more than 30 lbs. To make arrangements to have these
items removed from your curbside, please call us at 1-800-773-2489,
from Monday through Friday, between 7:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m.,
at least one day before your regular collection day. Please
have the quantity or number of bags, boxes, and bundles available
when you call. Move In/Move Out service is rendered on the
day of your regular collection day. You could also send us
your request for Move In/Move Out request by clicking on
the Service Web Site indicated below. Fill out and submit
the Service Request form. Email request takes two days to
be processed.
